Learn how TerraLogic GIS created a comprehensive, coastwide environmental information system. To support the description and identification of essential fish habitat for each life stage of federally managed fish species, the Pacific Fisheries Management Council and the National Marine Fisheries Service initiated an essential fish habitat project for more than 80 species of Pacific Coast groundfish.

- Zekiah Swamp Run Watershed Management Plan [PDF]
Zekiah Swamp, the largest hardwood swamp in Maryland, was up against tough competition for grants. Using ArcGIS, Environmental Resources Management created a comprehensive watershed management program to complement the area’s land preservation plan. The result was a $1.5 million grant for watershed management in Charles County, Maryland, and a successful implementation and application of GIS.
