GEOCOM Informatik AG was founded in 1995 and is the leading ESRI business partner in Switzerland. Based on ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, and ArcGIS Server, GEOCOM developed the hybrid network and cadastral information system GEONIS. It consists of a core application and various modular components. Applications for gas, electricity, water, wastewater, telecommunications, and cadastre are predefined. Converters help communicate with CAd and other GIS, ERP (SAP), or field systems. GEONIS supports the entire workflow from data collection with the expert system to analysis with the GIS viewer and presentation with the Web GIS solution. In Switzerland and Europe, several hundred companies and towns work with GEONIS.
