GIS Solutions to Locate Polling Places

Providing voters with polling place information is one of the most basic tasks that election departments perform. Online applications based on GIS technology give voters access to current, accurate polling place information 24 hours a day.

Using the voter's address, these applications correctly identify the precinct and polling place and can furnish driving directions. When information on where polling places are located is readily available, voter turnout is higher.
