Meetings and Meeting Space
ESRI has allocated a limited number of rooms in the San Diego Convention Center and the Marriott Hotel & Marina for special meetings. Seating capacities range from 25 to 200 people.

Note: Meetings requested after April 4, 2008 will not appear in the ESRI UC printed agenda. It may, however, be listed in the online agenda and may be printed in the Agenda Supplement. A modest rental fee by the hour, half day, or full day may be charged if the meeting is intended for sales or marketing purposes.
Meeting Types and Descriptions
Special Interest Group (SIG)
This type of meeting is normally requested by a user and is best described as a networking session designed to allow peer groups from a particular industry, field, or area of interest to share ideas. Meetings are usually held as a lunch, evening session, or sponsored social event. These meetings are published unless otherwise requested.
Regional User Group (RUG)
This type of meeting, facilitated by users and also attended by ESRI staff, offers participants within a particular geographic area the opportunity to gather and share ideas. These meetings are typically held as an evening session and often include a sponsored social event. A modest rental fee by the hour, half day, or full day may be charged if the meeting is intended for sales or marketing purposes. These meetings are published.
Client Vendor Meeting
These meetings are initiated by a vendor or business partner to meet with clients or vendor staff and may include ESRI staff. These meetings are normally unpublished unless otherwise requested. They often include a sponsored social event. A modest rental fee by the hour, half day, or full day may be charged if the meeting is intended for sales or marketing purposes.
Special Meeting—Invitation Only
This includes any meeting whereby invitations are sent in advance to a limited number of guests. Invitees and participants are normally within specialized fields or industries and may include sponsored social events or business meetings. Special meetings are usually unpublished unless otherwise requested.
