Notable demographic changes include the following facts:

  • The economy is flattening.
  • The housing market is declining.
  • The U.S. population is more diverse.
  • Baby boomers are entering their retirement years.
  • Suburban counties of thriving metro areas are growing.
  • Fastest-growing U.S. counties include Flagler County, Florida; Loudoun County, Virginia; Kendall County, Illinois; Rockwall County, Texas; and Pinal County, Arizona.
