ESRI Data

Overview

MediaPrints cable boundary data is designed to work with ArcGIS Business Analyst and other ArcGIS products so you can visualize and map cable TV coverage for more than 10,000 cable systems directly on your PC. MediaPrints data is released quarterly.

You can join MediaPrints data, Census Block Group and ZIP Code files with customer and prospect data and map out coverage to improve your marketing databases and business application. You can overlay MediaPrints cable boundaries with demographic data, consumer expenditure data, business locations, and SIC codes to conduct in-depth market analyses.

MediaPrints cable boundary data includes variables, such as

  • Primary Owner or Multiple Systems Owner (MSO) (e.g., Comcast, Time Warner)
  • State or principal community
  • Local company area
  • Total number of homes passed by a cable system, thus having the potential of being served promptly
  • High-speed Internet service operating (yes/no/planned)
  • Date high-speed Internet service began
  • High-speed Internet service offered
