Brookside Park
Brookside Avenue between Terracina Boulevard and Bellevue Road View map

A small 9.2 acre neighborhood park, in the middle of a rapidly growing area, with enough room to jog or spread out a blanket for reading. The park has playground facilities, restrooms, and picnic facilities.

Caroline Park
Sunset Drive and Mariposa Drive View map

This 16.8 acre nature park features drought-tolerant plants native to inland Southern California, and a water conservation garden. The park also features horse and jogging trails, wildflower meadows, and a nature study area.

A call to the Parks Department will also get you a list of specialty nurseries in the area that carry these plants for home gardening. Restrooms.

Community Center Park

The Redlands Community Center is adjacent to this little park, and its sole tennis court gets regular use. Restrooms inside the community center, picnic facilities.

Community Park
San Bernardino Avenue and Church Street View map

Large grassy lawn area and gently rolling topography make this 18.2 acre park a favorite for kids and families. Thye park offers a good children's playground, lighted baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, picnic and BBQ facilities, and restrooms.

Crafton Park

A large, lighted soccer field dominates this brand-new 7.5 acre neighborhood park. A picnic area, playground facilities, and restrooms are also available.

Ed Hales Park
State Street and 5th Street View map

This .7 acre park is located in the middle of the downtown central business district, with a small stage area that is used regularly for musical presentations, mimes, and other small shows. It has a lovely fountain, lots of benches, and picnic facilities. It's a great spot to eat a take-out lunch from one of the many little eateries in the area.

Ford Park

Two duck ponds for fishing and rolling hills make this 27-acre park another great spot. There are also lighted tennis and paddleball courts, as well as picnic and BBQ areas, playground facilities, and restrooms.

Franklin Park

This small .6 acre park is a natural open space area.

Jennie Davis Park
Redlands Boulevard and New York Street View map

This small 5.2 acre neighborhood park is located about 500 yards north of ESRI, on the east side of the street. It sits below street level and was developed as a botanical garden. There are restrooms, picnic and BBQ areas, and a children's playground.

Prospect Park

The oldest park in Redlands, Prospect Park was created by J.Y. England in 1897 to be one of Southern California's great botanical treasures. It is an 11.4 acre natural park with trails, restrooms, and picnic facilities. The park contains the Avice Meeker Sewall Theater, an outdoor amphitheater with seating for 407, which is home to the Redlands Summer Theater Festival.

The park is also the site of the Kimberly Crest Mansion.

San Timoteo Canyon Nature Preserve

This large 40-acre facility is a natural preserve.

Simond's Parkway

This is a small .9 acre neighborhood park.

Smiley Park

Close to the downtown Redlands Civic Center, this park is a 9.2 acre greenbelt that wanders for more than five blocks.

This park is home to City Hall, the A. K. Smiley Public Library (a facility listed on the National Register of Historic Places), the Lincoln Shrine (containing the largest collection of Abraham Lincoln memorabilia west of the Mississippi River), and the Redlands Bowl (an outdoor amphitheater with seating for approximately 4,000 persons, where summer concerts are performed each Tuesday and Friday evening during July and August).

Sylvan Park

The historic Mill Creek Zanja flows through this 23.3 acre park, situated next to the University of Redlands. The park has a rose garden, restrooms, a volleyball court, a baseball/softball field, swings and playground facilities, a wading pool for the kids, and well-equipped group and individual picnic/barbecue areas.

Sylvan Park is also the home of the Redlands Fourth of July programs.

Texonia Park

A 10.7 acre neighborhood park with lighted softball field, basketball courts, picnic and playground facilities. It contains a great children's playground and fortress that even adults will find fun. Restrooms, BBQ area, softball fields, playground.
